Sam Ricketts, Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking
Sam was appointed Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking in August 2014. Sam joined FNZC in 2006 after eight years in Australia with Caliburn, one of Australia’s leading independent advisory firms.
Sam has advised some of NZ’s leading companies on a range of strategic advisory, ECM and M&A related matters. Selected transactions include: advising Bapcor Ltd on the takeover of Hellaby, Air New Zealand on the sale of their 25.9% stake in Virgin Australia, Synlait Milk on the investment by Bright Dairy and subsequent IPO, Macquarie Infrastructure on the IPO of Oceania, Direct Capital on the IPO of Scales and NZ King Salmon, Fletcher Building on the sale of Rocla Quarries, Quadrant Private Equity on the acquisition and IPO of Summerset, and Todd Corporation on the sale of their interests in Sky Network Television, ARA wines and Crown Castle Australia.
Sam is an FNZC Board member and sits on the Board of Pearlfisher Capital (FNZC’s non-bank property lending business).
Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Otago
